Here at Yorkshire Eyewear we are proud to say that we are the home of Bridal Eyewear by Karen Louise.
Many people have been surprised when I've spoken to them about this side of the business as a lot would prefer to go without their glasses on their wedding day. The reality is that not all people are suitable for contact lens wear and as Karen rightly say's, "no bride should have to spend their big day with a headache because they are squinting to see".
With a lot of the modern trends in eyewear at the moment tending to be bold dark frames they often tend to detract from the rest of the bridal aesthetic. Bridal Eyewear by Karen Louise takes a different approach, selecting frames that are inkeeping with the elegant wedding dress that a Bride has lovingly chosen, or a frame in a shade to match the colour scheme. We help brides and the rest of the bridal party (yes, that's Groom's too!) select the right frame for their special day and then give expert advice on lenses, with particular care taken in selecting the right coatings to help make sure those pictures of the mementous day are stunning with as little reflection from the lenses as possible.
Karen's philosophy is to look at glasses as "facial jewelerry, more than a visual correction". These glasses can be worn time and time again for different occassions, not just on your wedding day.
With this in mind we are heading off into Yorkshire for the next few weekends exhibiting at some of our favourite wedding fairs.
Sunday 9th October 2016:
From midday onwards we will be exhibiting in the beautiful Royal Hall in Harrogate with The Wedding Affair. Tickets are only £3.50 if you book online or £5.00 on the door and you will recieve a bag full of goodies. There will be over 85 exhibitors and what better place to find inspiration for your wedding than this beautiful setting in lovely Harrogate.
Sunday 16th October 2016:
Join us between 10am and 3pm at Howden Shire Hall for their first ever wedding fair. The event is free and is an ideal way to see this great location dressed to impress. There will be fashion shows and entertainment throughout the event.
Sunday 23rd October 2016:
Sunday the 23rd takes us to York Racecourse for The UK Wedding Event. This is the biggest fair that we're exhibiting at (so far!) with over 105 exhibitors, to get the best prices for your tickets it's advised to book ahead of the day. This busy fair will give you plenty of inspiration for your big day, and with a drinks reception and a goody bag for the bride, what is there to lose?
We're looking forward to a busy few weekends of wedding madness and hope to meet some lovely new blushing brides. If your planning a wedding yourselves, or know somebody who is, do pop along to one of these events and say hello.
