Our latest Frame in Focus is this classic men’s frame from Paul Costelloe.
Paul Costelloe is an Irish designer and artist who started his womenswear business in Dublin in 1979, by 1999 he moved his business to London where it is still based today. As the business has grown in size it has also grown in diversity and now includes menswear, accessories, homewares and most importantly for us, eyewear.
Paul Costelloe say’s:

This frame is a classic style with a sophisticated elegance to it. The classic tortoise-shell colouring is professional yet not too heavy against the wearers skin tone.
The clean narrow lines of this frame give it an understated gentility. The gloss finish of the acetate only goes to highlight the delicate gold detailing on the front, hinges and the subtle branding on the tips.
We love this frame because of its subtlety, whilst the eye size is fairly big the thin frame manages to be very contemporary but still not take over your face like some other modern styles, perfect for those looking for a frame with refined simplicity.
